Upon entering the village, visitors are greeted by a simple and unadorned monument honoring the fallen heroes of a significant and poignant battle. The Battle of June 3, 1943, was one of the most important confrontations between ELAS (Greek People's Liberation Army) and thousands of Italian soldiers. The most characteristic feature of the area is the park near the sources of the Asopos River, offering a unique hiking experience for visitors, leading them to the Kamares Cave and the impressive "Throne of Zeus." Within the park, traversed by small streams, you'll find beautifully landscaped recreational areas with games and artwork at every step.
